aFe Aluminized Exhaust Systems

The aFe Exhaust Systems are designed with one thing in mind: performance. And with the Aluminized Steel version you get corrosion resistance at an economical price. Because the design philosophy of aFe is about maximizing airflow, the aFe Exhaust System is wide and open. An open exhaust system reduces back pressure on the pistons, giving you more power available to drive the wheels.


aFe exhaust systems are manufactured in-house to the highest engineering standards for performance and quality. All tubing is 100%mandrel-bent to provide the highest flow possible. Each system is extensively dyno and flow bench tested to provide maximum gains for your truck.

Mandrel bent
Swaged bayonet ends lock your exhaust component into place for the most secure installation possible. Other manufacturers use less expensive bent hangers that allow tubes and parts to slide from side to side, causing premature wear and damage. Every hanger is thoroughly welded on each side to ensure a stronger connection, compared to other manufacturers who use only inferior floating hangers. Premium-quality band clamps are used on critical joints to provide the tightest, leak-free seal possible. Other systems use common, less expensive U-bolt clamps. All aFe tubing is 100% mandrel-bent. Mandrel bending ensures the tubing maintains its shape and size, providing smooth, unrestricted airflow. Standard tubing can lose as much as 20% of its diameter in sharp bends.
aFe Air Intake Systems and Filters are very good at getting air to your engine faster and more efficiently. However, aFe realized that it is important to get the air out as well. Just like anything else, the more you ingest, the more you need to expel, otherwise things can get clogged up. That is the reason why aFe came up with its line of Exhaust Systems to go along with its Intake Systems. It a natural extension of our efforts to enhance the science of airflow management in performance vehicles.

This is especially true in the diesel motor which is simply a huge air pump. Since diesel engines are a compression ignition engine and modern diesel-powered vehicles are turbocharged, the more air you pump in, the more power you generate. However, with turbocharged diesel, it is very important to get the hot exhaust out or the Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) will rise to acritical level that could damage the turbo itself. Style-wise, you can choose from Aluminized Steel or 409 Stainless Steel in Turbo Back, Cat Back or Tom Kit.

Most OE manufacturers offer a restrictive 3 1/2" exhaust system which is fine for normal every day city or highway driving. But with your diesel truck expected for towing or work capabilities, you want more power to go up that grade towing your boat, trailer or tools. Getting the air in will give you more power. Getting the air out will give you more power. When you get more air in and out at the same time, you get a lot more power. With the 4" exhaust systems are mandrel bent aluminized steel which eliminates the sharp bends and kinks that the factory stock exhaust systems have. The aluminized steel resists corrosion as well as stainless steel but is priced more economically.
Don’t neglect your exhaust. It may seem trivial, but the exhaust cycle is one quarter of your entire engine cycle, so any improvements that you can make, such as installing an aFe Exhaust System, can really give you a lot more power simply through an improved design.
